Hadamar Memorial Museum is a place for historical information and research on Nazi “euthanasia” crimes. As a branch office of the archives of the Public Welfare Association of the German Federal State of Hesse (Landeswohlfahrtsverband Hessen, LWV), the Memorial Museum keeps over 7,000 individual case files as well as personnel and several administrative files of the former Hadamar State Sanatorium (Landesheilanstalt Hadamar) from up until roughly 1957. In addition to this historical core collection of original files, there are further collections of objects, additional source material as well as photographs, audiovisual evidence and the estate (Nachlass) of the researcher Ernst Klee.
