There are no food services available at the memorial museum or on the grounds of the Vitos Clinic.
Hadamar Memorial Museum would like to be accessible to all. We are working on removing existing barriers, creating barrier-free accessibility and developing appropriate services.
The buildings and grounds of Hadamar Memorial Museum are accessible for the most part. All areas of the memorial building are equipped with elevators. Wheelchair accessible restrooms are available in the exhibition and near the seminar rooms.
To access parking spaces for the disabled, simply follow the signs reading “Parkplatz Kunsttherapie” in front of the memorial.
The memorial landscape behind the Memorial Museum, so the former cemetery, can be reached by car. Please contact us for detailed information on how to get there.
In the course of a joint project in 2003 with ‘Mensch zuerst’ – Netzwerk People First Deutschland e. V., a self-representation organisation advocating for people with learning difficulties, we developed some first services in German plain language.
As a result, we now offer material in German plain language. A plain language catalogue of the exhibition can be borrowed from the memorial.
Some biographies are also available in German braille.
We are gradually working on additional measures to remove communication barriers.
